Table setting
I know Christmas is over but I still want to show you my table setting I made for Christmas dinner. We had a wonderful time together and I enjoy having a conversation entirely in my native language(Italian). My Italian friend brought over amazing dishes and I just had to decorate the table and make lasagna. My Christmas was amazing, what about yours?

It is Christmas time..
I haven't post for so long time, it is time to catch up. My hand is doing better-I burned myself with the hot glue and it was painful for awhile-. And I was so busy with all the Christmas presents and preparation that I neglected everything else. Anyway I want to show you one of the project I worked on. I made 12 chocolate bunt cake to sent to our friend station in Iraq. Mini cakes are so cool and fun to make and wrap. I found the boxes at Michaels and I decorate them with a digital from house of three

Tea Pot Box
I did not post for a long time so I better put something on the blog. I feel I neglected this blog for so long but recently with the organizing of the new business and the injury on my hands I had no time for any of my craft. Until my hands heal completely I want to show you this container I made some times ago for my daughter teachers. I used My Timeless Template and I traced some part my self. The boxes are full of tea.

Ikea boxes
I got these container at Ikea while I was in San Diego. I wanted this product for so long than I had to pack two of these heavy container in my luggage and bring it with me all the way to Virginia. Lucky I always leave for vacation with empty luggage because I know I always come back home with a lot of stuff!! It is just me?!
Anyway, yesterday I was able to assembly and decorate it and now I love it so much I have to find an Ikea store in Virginia and get some more of these cd boxes. My desk look so much better now, all the small things was laying on top of it now they have their own place.

New creation: Tulle Tree
I have to start this post admitting one of my obsession: "Tulle". I love this material it is so beautiful and fluffy and girlie. Every time I go to the fabric store I come home with yard of tulle so I can make tutus for my girls, decorate the house.......
I also use it all of the time to wrap gift baskets is cheaper and nicer than cellophane, you have to try it. This time I come up with a pink tulle tree with some glittered flowers. I used some store bought flowers that I dipped in glitter and I made the rest myself with vintage paper and beads( and I dipped these too on glitter).
This tree is for sale in my Etsy shop

Isabelle blanket
I am trying to finish all the project I have unfinished around the house before my husband return. He always make fun of the fact I start so many things and I get overwhelmed and do not finish all, so I want to prove him wrong this time. My sew machine broke but I was lucky to find my old one in the barn, is not the best but good enough to help me finish what I started. This is a blanket for my daughter Isabelle for her crib, she loves blanket and soft toys. After I am done she will have plenty of it.....

No now....
So, my sew machine decided to give up on me in the wrong time.I was working on these four blanket when it broke and it is very expensive to fix it (it's amazing the fact that fix a sew machine cost as much as buy a new one!). Anyway, I have to stop my sewing project until my husband come back home and we decide what to do about it. That mean no sew for awhile........ is a nightmare for me, sewing is an addiction for me I sew almost everyday! I guess this will give me time to do other project...

Another necklace
Like I said in my other post, I got hooked on jewelery making. I made a necklace awhile ago and I had some material left so I decided to make another one. I know the style is very similar but what can I do,I love pearls. These type of necklace with fabric flowers are very popular now and I'm happy about it so I can wear it all of the time and I can make a few more, maybe as Christmas gifts.....

Decorating on a budget
Decorating can be very pricey. All those nice things than make your house a home they have a price tag. I always try to find way to decorate on a budget and is not a easy task; my husband always tell me that I have a champagne taste and a beer wallet(or something like that). This is one of the project I come out with. I used one of my book in Italian it was not that old so I had to aged it with some ink and I just folded the pages and tied with a ribbon. The book was not one of my favorite so I was happy to find another use for it.

Pearls Necklace
I spent the last two months in San Diego at my in-laws home and during these time I had a possibility to play with new crafts. I always wanted to make jewelery but I didn't know were to start.I found out my sister-in law has a lot of knowledge about this topic and she was so nice to take me bead shopping ( and that was the most difficult part) and teach me and let me borrow all her tools. So I made this pearls necklace that I love.

Mom blanket
I made this blanket for my mom. Originally was for my grandma, my mom asked me to make one for her bed, but she got sick and died. So I made the blanket for my mom using for the center a piece left from a sheet my grandma embroidered before she got married. It was a tradition than to start preparing sheet an towels in a young age and have it ready before getting married. Even when I was very young my mom sent me to learn needle point. I still remember spending Saturday afternoon with the Sisters learning all of this small points. Anyway this is the blanket I made I just wish my grandma was able to see it.

Tulle hangear
I spent the last two months at my in-laws place(they live in California). I didn't bring my craft supplay with me so I took a break and neglected my blog. But like all crafter knows, you can't stay too much time away on creating stuff so I made a fufu hanger with tulle left from Sophia birthday party. It is too cute to hang stuff on it but I'm sure it will look adorable in my girl room.

Sherry's Album
I made this album as a birthday present. It was a new project for me, especially because I used the computer for create the inside pages. I consider myself a computer dummy, I just know how to shop via internet(and that's fun!). I had to ask for help to my husband who patently loaded the brushes corrected my English spelling and told me how to use photoshop. This album can be use for pictures or as a journal and I think I'll make many more as soon as find a little time.
For the pages I used Rhonna Farrer brushes.

My girls
I take picture all of the time but I'm not really good at it. I wish I can take those beautiful picture you see in wonderful blog so I can use it for my scrapbook project. My technique is to take a lot of picture so I'm sure one of it will come out decent, and that's the case of this one. I finally made a picture I'm proud of with my favorite subject:my two girls, Sophia and Isabelle.

Fairy House
This week I spent a lot of time blogging. And I saw at these beautiful fairy houses, you have to check her blog at Valentine Studio. It is breath taking. I got so inspired by than I wanted to make one for my little girl(she loves everything magical) for when my husband will have to deploy.
He has to leave soon so before he goes he will give this house to our daughter and he will tell her than he will not be able to see her every day but every night he will send a magical fairy to leave something special for her inside the house until the day he will be back. We hope this will help her cope with deployment,it is a cute way to let her know that daddy always think about her.

Sophia dress
I don't know if you do the same but I find myself buying patterns and when I try they do not work! How upsetting! So after promising myself I will never buy anymore here I am with a new pattern, and surprise this time it worked. I used pink fig pattern (the girl skirt n.4) for the skirt and I made the corset pattern myself. When I finished the sewing part I made some flower for the headband and this is the result. I can finally say I found a good pattern.
